Lornamead acquired Lypsyl in 2000 for worldwide distribution excluding the UK and Norway.
Lypsyl originated in Sweden 100 years ago. The name is derived from the words 'Lipsalve' and 'Cerat', which means soothing influence of wax. One of the most popular lip balms in the world, Lypsyl has always been a part of the consumer's childhood and has evolved into a household name.
Lypsyl has a wide range of products, but it is probably best known for its Original lip balm formulated with fragrant coconut oil to help soften, soothe and protect lips.
What's New:
In February 2011, Lypsyl introduced Glossy Minerals under the new sub-brand 'Lypsyl Excellence'.
Available in 2 shades, Rose and Nude and with pure natural minerals, these new lipglosses give long lasting colour and shine whilst protecting and nourishing the lips.
In september 2010, Lypsyl launched Pink Origninal in Sweden.
This all year round soothing lipbalm was also developed to help support the Swedish Cancer Society Pink Ribbon Campaign, which runs annually during October.
