Our German platform was created in 2003 with the acquisition of the CD brand, which is one of the market's best-known names in skin care. It now forms part of a key part of our European division along side our UK office. From our Hamburg offices our robust infrastructure successfully meets the needs of our retailers not only in Germany but also the other neighbouring German-speaking countries Austria and Switzerland.
Germany also provides us with an excellent springboard into the key developing countries of Central and Eastern Europe. For instance, the CD brand is now also distributed in Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Belgium.
Our offices focus on key local brands such as CD, Handsan, Crisan, Lanosan along with international brands such as Woods of Windsor and Yardley.
We have concentrated on investing in advertising and promotions to drive top line growth to make the brands an attractive proposition for key retailers such as Schlecker, dm, Rossmann, Metro, Edeka, Rewe and many others.
