Lornamead was founded in 1978 by the Jatania family, as a marketing partner to multi-national companies seeking to drive sales and marketing strategies in Africa.
Establishment of Regional Platforms
Establishment of the USA platform
The acquisition of the Natural White business, a manufacturer and supplier of both branded and private label products for the oral care market, enabled the group to expand into the North American market as well as providing a manufacturing base in the region.
Expansion of the UK platform
Since 2003, we have extended and strengthened our UK platform. With our acquisition of Network Health and Beauty - a company with significant sales, marketing, warehouse and distribution infrastructure to service the UK market.
Establishment of the German platform
Our entry into the German market was secured when we purchased the personal care brand, CD. This enabled us to set up a dedicated business unit for this highly important European market.
Establishment of the Middle East platform
The set up of this business unit has given us excellent opportunities in both traditional and new markets that span from Dubai across the Middle East and into North Africa and Asia.
Entry into New Markets
As our focus on the international reach of the business grows, we have been committed to establishing business units in emerging markets - India, China, Brazil and Russia.
